Maisha joins Leadership Newark as the Operations Manager. In this role, she will ensure that the administrative functionalities of our organization run smoothly. She will also focus on strategic initiatives that assist in the streamlining, maintenance and continuous development of the exceptional service standards that Leadership Newark family, supporters and friends have become accustom.

Prior to joining the LN team, Maisha served as an operations intern for Uncommon Schools during which she aided a current Director of Operations in the start-up of new school developments. Maisha attained the bulk of her experience in operations and project management at HelloFresh, which is currently recognized as the largest e-commerce meal kit company in the global market. In this capacity, she led a small strategic team to support a variety of the company’s growing business needs. During her time at HelloFresh she was featured in a 2017 Destination Newark article, a documentary entitled: Food For Thought: The Path To Food Security in Newark sponsored by RWJ Barnabas Health, and also managed accounts of business to business partnerships between HelloFresh and 501©3 corporations based out of California that primarily focused on food access and equity in urban areas.

Maisha is currently enrolled as a full-time student at Thomas Edison State University, seeking her B.S. in Organizational Leadership with an independent focus in education and school leadership.
