begins January 2023.

Nominate a Leader – Nominate Yourself

Leadership Newark begins recruiting in the spring of each year. The application
deadline is November 18, 2022. Candidates may nominate themselves or be
nominated by someone familiar with the fellowship programs. Qualified applicants
either lives work or volunteer in the City of Newark.

Who Should Apply

Candidates who have a desire to be part of a solution to key problems or issues
affecting the community
Candidates should be interested in civic engagement, public policy
Candidates should be interested in the vibrancy of urban communities
Candidates who recognized the need for collaboration and partnership
Candidates who are eager to learn from others and have an open mind
Candidates willing to challenge the status quo
Candidates who are willing to invest time and effort in a 2-year fellowship
